Genesee's Arcade Campus Center Offers CPR and First Aid Renewal Course

Officials at Genesee Community College are pleased to announce that a CPR and First Aid renewal course will be offered on Wednesday, January 14th from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Genesee Community College’s Arcade Campus Center.

The course is designed for those who hold a current American Red Cross CPR or First Aid certificate. The CPR (adult, child, and infant) and/or AED (automated external defibrillator) renewal course will meet for the full three hours. A First Aid only renewal is available by attending just the first hour of the program.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency medical procedure for a victim of cardiac arrest or, in some circumstances, respiratory arrest. CPR is performed in hospitals, or by emergency response professionals, or in the community by laypersons who have been specially trained through courses such as this one offered at the Arcade Campus Center.

“What better way to start the New Year than by brushing up on learning life-saving techniques,” Deborah DiNoto, associate dean of the Arcade Campus Center said. “We’re proud to be able to help our community members by offering these first aid courses.”

The course fee is $15. To register, stop by Genesee’s Arcade Campus Center at 25 Edward Street or call 585-492-5265 for further information.
