Wild Bird Lecture on Tap At Genesee's Village Inn Arts and Letters Lecture Sep. 26

Genesee Community College's Village Inn Arts and Lecture Series will kick off Friday, September 26, from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. at the historic Village Inn in Childs, just north of Albion. "Birds are for Everyone to Enjoy" is the subject of the September seminar.

The event features Hans Kunze, one of Western New York's leading authorities on birds and bird feeding. While Mr. Kunze is a commercial banker by profession, he is well known for his bird feeding supply and gift shop in Wyoming and for his frequent talks on birds to clubs and organizations throughout the region.

During the September 26 event, Mr. Kunze will help guests learn how to identify birds by their appearance and songs. He will also discuss the Eastern Bluebird, official New York State bird, which has made a remarkable comeback over the last two decades.

The fee for the event is $23, which includes lunch at the Village Inn. Reservations may be made by calling Genesee Community College at Orleans (585-589-4936).
