Dashawna Jenifer scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds on Tuesday night for the Genesee Community College women's basketball team, but it was not enough as the Cougars fell to Erie Community College, 68-52.
Terra Clanton cashed in a three-point basket with 1:30 left in the first half to get GCC to within four at 31-27, and Genesee got to within two early in the second half, but Erie pulled away midway through the final period and defeated Genesee for the second time this season.
Breana Gleaton added 13 points and seven rebounds, Shanell Glover grabbed 11 boards and chipped in four points and Clanton finished with five points.
Genesee (5-19, 0-8) will return to action on Thursday night at Jamestown Community College. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
