Women's Basketball visits Finger Lakes on Tuesday Night

In their last non-conference game of the season, the Cougars will travel to Finger Lakes Community College on Tuesday night looking to end a nine-game losing streak.
Genesee (5-16, 0-6) is 5-10 in non-conference games this season and Tuesday night marks the first of four straight road contests for the Cougars.
Finger Lakes (8-10, 5-3) currently sit in the middle of the pack in the Region III Division III standings.
Last time out:
Genesee fell to Herkimer County Community College on Sunday afternoon, 63-49. The Cougars had four scorers reach double figures, led by Dashawna Jenifer who finished with 13 points. Terra Clanton and Breana Gleaton both scored 11 points apiece and Shanell Glover added 10 points. GCC committed 25 turnovers in the game.
FLCC lost to Jefferson Community College on Saturday, 75-56. Alex Shepard was the only Lakers scorer to reach double figures in points. She finished with 11. Ryenn Smith grabbed 11 rebounds and also dished out four assists.
What to watch for:
Finger Lakes defeated Genesee last season on 2/5/13 at GCC, 76-68.
The Lakers currently have four players that average double digits in points per game. Ashley Armstrong leads FLCC, averaging 16.0 points per contest. Kelly Broderick (11.7 ppg), Casey Dean (10.7 ppg) and Alex Shepard (10.1 ppg) also average in double figures.
GCC’s last road win came on Dec. 6 at Lakeland Community College.
