Genesee Community College looked for architectural gems throughout the GLOW region (Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming counties) to invite students to visit during the all campus locations Open House THIS Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 9 a.m. - 12 noon. Seven unique postcard invitations were sent across the College’s service area, each featuring well known, and some not-so-well-known locations, that spell out the name of each campus location.
“Transforming architectural landmarks and some common everyday items into unique letter forms is a popular design concept today,” said Donna Rae Sutherland, associate director of Marketing Communications. “The Marketing Communications office enjoyed capturing dynamic architectural features in each community and then converting them into letter forms that spell out the name of each of our campus locations. It was a fun project and I hope people will also enjoy testing their knowledge of their own community to see if they can track where each letter form is from.”
The postcards also invite prospective students of all ages to take a fresh look at GCC by visiting the main campus in Batavia or any of the six campus centers during the academic Open House this Saturday. GCC’s seven campus locations include:

Open House also offers the perfect opportunity to enroll in classes for the Spring 2014 semester, which starts January 13, 2014.
