Nagle Named Conference Player of the Year

Michelle Nagle, a sophomore outside hitter for the Genesee Community College volleyball team, was recently named the Western New York Athletic Conference Player of the Year for the 2013 fall season.
Nagle, a native of Randolph, NY, led Genesee to the number one seed in the WNYAC Tournament with a 4-1 regular season conference record.
Nagle tallied 472 kills and accounted for and average of over four points per sets, appearing in all 43 matches for GCC. She was also named the Region III Division II Most Valuable Player and was a member of the Region III Division II and WNYAC All-Tournament Teams.
The Lady Cougars captured the Region III Division II title for the 18th consecutive season and advanced to the WNYAC tournament finals where they lost to Jamestown Community College. Genesee will now compete in the District L Tournament held at the Community College of Rhode Island on November 9th and 10th.
