Genesee Community College offers a wide variety of academic majors and learning options. Students can take classes at the main campus in Batavia or at one of our six campus center locations in the four-county GLOW (Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, Wyoming) region. In addition, GCC has a robust online program with many courses offered fully online or in a hybrid format.
In addition, many online courses are open to any interested student with no prerequisites. For example, Engineering Blueprint Reading (EGR117) gives students a valuable introduction and foundation to blueprints, an essential form of communication in the design and engineering of products, systems, buildings and facilities. “This type of course is excellent for working professionals who can utilize this knowledge on the job,” said Dr. Rafael Alicea-Maldonado, Dean of Math, Science and Career Education. “This class, and many others are offered online so it easily adapts to the schedules of every interested student.”
