The Genesee Community College women's volleyball team could not put Niagara County Community College away on Tuesday night, falling to the Lady Thunderwolves in five sets (25-23, 25-27, 25-14, 14-25, 9-15).
After leading two sets to one, Genesee got off to slow starts in the final two sets and did not hold a lead in the deciding games.
Leyinska Quiles-Torres ended the night with 27 digs and two blocks, Nohema Garcia-Torres added 21 assists and Michelle Nagle tallied 16 kills and 16 digs.
Genesee falls to 17-21 overall and 5-2 in Western New York Athletic Conference play. They will return to action on Thursday night when they travel to Jamestown Community College for a 6 p.m. start.
