The Genesee Community College men’s soccer program will begin the 2013 season as the fifth-ranked team in the country according to the first NJCAA Division III National Poll.
The Cougars won a school record 17 games last season and held the number one national ranking in late-October. Genesee advanced to the Region III championship game where they lost to Herkimer County Community College in double-overtime. Herkimer went on to win the National Championship.
Genesee will open the season on Saturday, August 24th at Adirondack Community College at 2 p.m. The Cougars will play their home opener on September 1st when they host Morton College at 10 a.m. Other notable matches include: hosting Niagara County Community College on Sept. 21, hosting Erie Community College on Sept. 28 and traveling to Herkimer CCC on Oct. 19.
