Women's LAX falls on the road at Broome CC

The Genesee Community College women's lacrosse team dropped a road contest at Broome Community College on Wednesday night by a final score of 21-6.

Tempestt Smith and Jamie Behrns scored for GCC in the first half but the Lady Cougars trailed 9-2 at the break.

Broome extended their lead with nine goals in the first 15-minutes of the second half before Behrns scored again at the nine-minute mark.

Genesee didn't score again until less than two-minutes to play when Hikaru Kishimoto scored twice and Jordan Powell scored her first goal of the season.

Rachel Ball led the team with six ground balls and Powell and Cassandra Dembik each controlled five draws.

Sarah Bosa made 16 saves in net.

Genesee falls to 0-5 on the season and they will host Onondaga Community College on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
