Batavia, NY- Great music and a great cause come together at Genesee Community College’s Dansville Campus Center on Saturday, February 2 featuring CDB, the Cory Daniels Band with special guest Perseverance. The evening event is a benefit concert for the Dansville Campus Center’s Relay for Life program with all the proceeds donated to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research. Voluntary donations of any monetary level will be accepted at the door as admission to the concert.
The event is being organized by CDB, whose lead singer, Cory Guck is currently a GCC student studying in Criminal Justice. A singer and songwriter based in Western New York, Cory has more than 30 years of experience in the music industry. Currently, five of his songs are being played on country and rock radio stations, and his third CD titled, "The Out Laws" will soon be released.
The event is presented by BMI music, Entertainment Icons, Southern Tier Entertainment and GCC at Dansville. Sponsors of the event include Kickin’ Country 105.3 WKPQ with Lee Richey serving as special guest MC, The Music Store, and Relay for Life, American Cancer Society.
“Dansville Campus Center is not only delighted to support the Relay for Life program, but it is also a pleasure to encourage the artistic and creative energy and talent of our students,” Peter Soscia, associate dean of the Dansville Campus Center said. “This will be great event for our whole community.”
Dansville Campus Center is located at 31 Clara Barton Street, Dansville, NY 14437 in the former Dansville Middle School. The doors of the auditorium will open at 5 PM.
