Reyngoudt to Coach Lady Cougars

Genesee Community College has announced the hiring of Jeff Reyngoudt as the new head coach of the women's soccer program. Reyngoudt will take over head coaching duties after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach with the team.
An Afton, NY native, Reyngoudt currently serves as the head coach of the Holley United RDYSL women's Elite team as well as the U17 Holley United RDYSL division II team. He has previously worked as an assistant coach and goalkeeper coach for the Holley High School girls varsity team, as an assistant coach with the Holley High School girls junior varsity team and as the head coach of the U19 Holley United women's soccer team.
"I am most looking forward to building this program back to what it was three years ago, a contender for a national title," Reyngoudt said about his new opportunity at GCC. "There is enough local talent in the area to build a solid program."
Reyngoudt takes over after a 5-12-1 season in 2012, for a program that is just three years removed from a trip to the NJCAA National Championship game.
"The one thing that sold me on him was the student-athletes who came to me on his behalf on how much they respected and appreciated him as the assistant coach and hoped that he would be named as head coach," Jennifer Newell, interim athletic director said. "The players really appreciate his hard work and dedication to GCC, athletics and our students."
With about eight months until the official beginning of the fall 2013 season, Reyngoudt has already set out a plan for next year.
"My focus this offseason will be recruiting players who will help this team compete at the highest level. We will be focusing on possession and playing as a team," said Reyngoudt.
Reyngoudt earned his Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from The College at Brockport and currently resides in Holley, NY with his family.
