The Genesee Community College men's basketball team dropped it's second straight contest on Saturday afternoon, falling to Sullivan County Community College in their first game of the Country Inn Tournament at Monroe Community College, 73-58.
Vaughn Boler scored a game high 21 points and also grabbed six rebounds. Malik Brown added 13 points and E.J. Blackwell dished out seven assists.
The Cougars trailed by more than 20 points in the second half after going on almost a seven-minute scoring drought. In an effort to cut into the Sullivan lead, the Genesee defense forced four straight turnovers, but they did not result in Cougar points. Brown scored 11 second half points and helped GCC get to within eleven at one point, but that was as close as the Cougars would get.
Genesee (1-2) will finish the Country Inn weekend tournament by playing The Thomas School tomorrow afternoon at 3pm.
