Batavia, NY - The National Weather Service has forecasted that Hurricane Sandy’s path will head directly through Western New York. The prediction includes heavy rain and sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph with possible gusts between 45 and 60 mph, beginning this afternoon and through tomorrow. In addition, Governor Cuomo and other state and federal officials are recommending anyone in the path of the storm take precautions and avoid any unnecessary travel.
