Cougars stay hot against Medaille

The Genesee Community College men's soccer team won their 13th straight contest on Saturday afternoon, taking care of the Medaille College JV squad, 7-1.

Dom Francis continued his dominant season, scoring twice on the afternoon. He now has 27 goals on the year and continues to increase the record for single-season goals scored in Genesee history.

Theo Stamotopolous also scored twice on the day, including the last goal of the game, which came with under 30 seconds to play.

Jake O'Leary and Sean Allen split time in net and allowed Medaille a lone goal that came late in the second half.

The Cougars, still ranked #2 in the NJCAA Division III National Poll, improve to 14-1 and will have ten days before their next contest when they host the current number one team in the nation and defending national champions, Herkimer County Community College on October 16th at 6pm.
