Medina, New York - A collaborative effort between the Genesee Community College Medina Campus Center and the Orleans/Niagara BOCES aims at shaking-off the winter doldrums and allowing cosmetology students the opportunity to practice their skills.
GCC students can take advantage of an array of spa services including hair styling and coloring, manicures and pedicures, and waxing services offered for free by students learning the art of client pampering.
The makeovers offer the students a chance to update their style and prep for job interviews, while allowing BOCES students the opportunity to showcase what they’ve learned.
Appointments are available on a first-come, first-serve basis to students enrolled at GCC Medina on the mornings of April 23 and 24, 2012. This is the second year the makeover sessions have been offered, and appointment bookings are running twice as high as last year, when the program was inaugurated.
