Batavia, New York — In an effort to increase accessibility to higher education, Genesee Community College announces the offering of a Winterim session for the 2011-2012 academic year. The Winterim session starts Wednesday December 14 and runs through Friday January 13. The College will offer four accelerated Winterim courses all in the distance learning (online) format.
•CIS116: Microcomputer Applications (3 credits)
•GEO101: World Regional Geography (3 credits)
•HUM242: Female Role in Film (3 credits)
•OFT116: Medical Terminology (3 credits)
Because of the accelerated pace, interested students should have completed at least 12 college credits with a 3.0 grade average or higher, possess strong computer and internet skills, and be able to devote at least 20 hours/week to course work, and may only register for one Winterim course.
