The Genesee Community College Men's Soccer team cruised passed Alfred State College on Tuesday night, defeating the Pioneers by a final score of 6-0.
The Cougars got on the board with an early goal by Sean Brettel (Welwyn Garden City, England). GCC added their second goal of the half when Dominic Francis (Huddersfield, England) lobbed one over the Alfred goalkeeper to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead.
In the second half, Francis struck again in the 3rd minute finding the back of the net with a lefty blast. The Cougars made it 4-0 when Brady Smith (Brisbane, Australia) connected on a one-timer from Brandon Reiner (Attica, NY). Josh Gray (Norwich, England) made it 5-0 after capitalizing on a free kick as a result of an Alfred State yellow card. Ryosuke Sato (Hiroshima, Japan) capped off the Cougar scoring when he fired from just inside the box, beating the Pioneer goalkeeper with under a minute to go.
The Cougars stay unbeaten on the year at 6-0-2, and will play again on Tuesday, September 27th at Finger Lakes Community College.
