The Genesee Community College Women's Volleyball team competed in the Lakeland Community College Tournament this weekend, finishing the two-day tournament with a 3-4 record.
The Lady Cougars started the tournament losing to St. Clair Community College in 3 sets, 26-24, 17-25, 13-15. They picked up their first win in their next match, defeating Cuyahoga Community College 21-25, 25-16, 15-6. GCC earned another victory in their next match by defeating Mercyhurst North East 25-16, 25-14. The Lady Cougars had their win streak snapped when they fell to Schoolcraft College, 17-25, 20-25. They then lost to eventual finalist Lorain County Community College 18-25, 22-25. GCC picked up another win by defeating the Junior Varsity team from Notre Dame 25-19, 25-15, and lost in the semi finals to Lorain County Community College 21-25, 23-25.
