Women's Soccer Falls on the Road

The Genesee Community College Women's Soccer team lost a 2-1 game on the road at Onondaga Community College on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Cougars fell behind early, allowing the first goal about two and a half minutes into the first half.

The Genesee Community College Women's Soccer team lost a 2-1 game on the road at Onondaga Community College on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Cougars fell behind early, allowing the first goal about two and a half minutes into the first half. Despite controlling much of the tempo, GCC allowed a second OCC goal about ten minutes later to fall behind 2-0.

The defense played strong in the second half and the Lady Cougars finally got on the board with about twelve minutes remaining when Ali Cashmore (Akron, NY) scored her third goal in two games, off of an assist from Cady Hume (Batavia, NY). Both teams played a scoreless final twelve minutes and the score ended 2-1.

The Lady Cougars (2-3) will travel once again on Tuesday, September 13th when the play at Jefferson Community College at 2pm.
