For those who think they can’t afford college – think again! Genesee Community College is holding a free Financial Aid Workshop on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at the Albion Campus Center. Potential students of all ages are welcome to attend to learn more about the financial aid process – whether they are recent high school graduates, adult students, G.E.D. earners, or unemployed members of the workforce interested in exploring different options.
Warren Skye, the Adult Educational Opportunities coordinator for the Albion Campus Center will be on hand at the workshop to answer questions about careers, scholarship opportunities, financial aid options, and the application and enrollment process. He will provide help to new or current students and their families with the online FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Loan) form and explain the financial aid process and other related topics. Albion’s Financial Aid Workshop is a great opportunity for prospective students as they apply for financial aid for the upcoming academic year.
While registration for the workshop is strongly encouraged by calling 589-4936, the Albion Campus Center is happy to assist walk-ins on a first come, first served basis. Participants should bring a photo ID and the 2010 tax return and W-2 documents.
For further information, please contact the Albion Campus Center at firstname.lastname@example.org or 589-4936, or stop by 456 West Avenue, Albion, NY 14411.
