Men's Lax Defeats Delhi 23-10

The Genesee Men's Lacrosse team defeated Region III opponent SUNY Delhi 23-10 Saturday. Sophomore defensemen JD Skura (Clarence, NY) made his presence known throughout the field as he created eight turnovers, grabbed seven ground balls, and scored two goals for the Cougars.

The Genesee Men’s Lacrosse team defeated Region III opponent SUNY Delhi 23-10 Saturday. Sophomore defensemen JD Skura (Clarence, NY) made his presence known throughout the field as he created eight turnovers, grabbed seven ground balls, and scored two goals for the Cougars.

Leading the team again in goals were freshmen attacks Connor Latimer (Whitby, ON) Gaehnew Printup (Tuscarora, NY); Latimer had five goals and three assist, while Printup had five goals and one assist. Fellow freshman attack Will Mulcahy (Batavia, NY) had two goals and two assists.

A strong presence was felt from Genesee's midfielders who were led by freshmen Spencer Halliwell-Allen (St. Catherine’s, ON) and Christian Reiller (Salamanca, NY); Halliwell-Allen had three goals and four assists while Reiller had four goals and one assist. The defense got in the scoring yesterday also, in addition to Skura, freshman Vin Pedro (Batavia, NY) had one goal and one assist.  While freshman goalie Zack Wilson (Lewis Center, OH) held strong making eight stops in net.

Genesee will take on Alfred State Wednesday at 4pm, which has been changed to a home contest due to field conditions at Alfred State.
