Genesee’s offense came out firing from the beginning as the Cougars took a 19-0 lead at halftime. In addition to Latimer, freshmen Gaehnew Printup (Tuscarora, NY) had three goals and three assists, while Will Mulcahy (Batavia, NY) had two goals and two assists.

Genesee’s defense shut down the Panthers offense allowing only seven of the Panthers shots to be on net. It appeared that freshman goalie Zack Wilson (Lewis Center, OH) would have his second straight shutout for the Cougars but Tompkins-Cortland scored with 1:18 remaining in the game.

The Cougars will begin a five game road stretch as they face Finger Lakes CC March 23 at 4 pm, at Finger Lakes.
