The Men's Soccer team, currently ranked #6 in the nation, continued their winning ways with a 2-0 victory at Bryant and Stratton on Monday. After surviving some early pressure, the Cougars found their rhythm and took a 1-0 lead on Brandon Reiner's header on a fine cross from P.J. Backhouse. GCC soon made it two with yet another header, this time from Fernando Chacon for his first goal of the year. Joel Brien's hold up play was instrumental in the Cougars attacking play throughout the game. The Cougars faced some heavy late pressure as Bryant and Stratton threw everyone forward in search of a goal but some timely tackles from Kaleo Almeida and Djibril Gueye, combined with the fine goalkeeping of Jack West, insured the Cougars left victorious for their twelfth win in a row.
