Men's Basketball Defeats Jamestown-Olean

The Genesee Community College Cougars Men's Basketball team defeated the Jamestown Community College of Olean Jaguars 101-62 Tuesday night on their home court. After a slow start, Genesee took control of the game and led going into half by a score of 59-36.

The Genesee Community College Cougars Men's Basketball team defeated the Jamestown Community College of Olean Jaguars 101-62 Tuesday night on their home court. After a slow start, Genesee took control of the game and led going into half by a score of 59-36.

The Cougars were led offensively by Leon Nelson (Buffalo, NY) with 23 points and 17 rebounds and Terrell Rankin (Buffalo, NY) with 16 points. Other scorers for Genesee included Dashiem Cherry (Rockville Centre, NY) with 15 points, Kenton Chan-Man (Brooklyn, NY) with 12 points and both Aaron Allen (Claridge, PA) and Quintin Redfern (Cheektowaga, NY) each chiped in 10 points for the home squad.

The Cougars return to action on Thursday when they host the Nationally ranked Erie Community College Kats at 8:00 pm.  Erie Community College will be led by preseason all american Tola Lowal while Genesee will look to Leon Nelson to take control for the Cougars of Genesee.
