Lima, New York — Beat the winter blues with Genesee Community College’s Lima Campus Center while earning a college credit in Physical Education. Introduction to Bowling will be offered on Monday afternoons from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at Brongo Bowl in Honeoye Falls. This offering extends the reach of the Campus Center into the community at-large.
Introduction to Bowling (PED146) focuses on beginning bowling skill development for the inexperienced bowler. After completion of this course students will be able to select a proper fitting bowling ball and a pair of bowling shoes, master the four step approach and delivery, accurately score a complete game using the appropriate symbols to indicate the score, and identify in writing the terminology, rules, and etiquette associated with the sport. Introduction to Bowling is a one credit Physical Education credit course.
“We are pleased to offer community members a convenient opportunity to pursue physical fitness, enjoy a group sport and earn college credit at the same time” says Campus Center Dean Monica Mattioli.
