Genesee Community College's Lima Campus Center Hosts Festive Fall Events

The Lima Campus Center of Genesee Community College will host an abundance of festive fall events throughout November and December. Following on the heels of the Fall Field Day scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2009, the Lima Campus Center will host Movie Nights as well as a Holiday Craft Workshop. These events are open to the public and are full of great family fun.
Movie Nights at the Lima Campus Center will take place on Tuesdays from 6:00PM to 9:00PM and begin on November 17. The featured movie that evening will be The Ultimate Gift. On December 1, the movie Elf will be shown, December 15 will be A Christmas Story and December 29 will be Polar Express. Movie Nights are free and open to the public. Free popcorn and drinks will be provided and all participants will have the chance to win the movie shown that evening.
A Holiday Craft Workshop is scheduled for Thursday, December 10 from 6:30PM-8:30PM. The craft that evening will be a holiday centerpiece. This workshop is open to the public and the cost is $35 for materials. Participants must pre-register to attend the class. To register, call the Lima Campus Center at 582-1226.
“These fun family events are our way of saying thanks for welcoming us to the community,” Monica Mattioli associate dean of the Lima Campus Center said. “We hope that community members can look to Genesee not only for education, but as a resource for fun activities for their community groups and families.”
