Genesee's Women's Volleyball Results

This past weekend Genesee's Women's Volleyball team traveled to Binghamton NY to play in the Broome Community College Invitational Tournament.  The Lady Cougars had a very successful weekend

This past weekend Genesee's Women's Volleyball team traveled to Binghamton NY to play in the Broome Community College Invitational Tournament.  The Lady Cougars had a very successful weekend going 5-0, defeating Erie Community College in the championship game!  The team also defeated Corning CC, Suffolk CCC, Onondaga CC and Jamestown along the way. 

The team played very well and was led by Liza Cheseborough, Catie Hopkins and Brandi Calvert.  Liza was named Most Valuable Player of the BCC Invitational. On the day she recorded 102 setter assists, 9 aces, and 20 kills to lead the Cougars to the championship. Hopkins contributed 42 kills and had a hitting effiecency of .381 while Calvert had 32 kills and 10 blocks.  

Genesee’s next matches will be at Owens Community College’s Tournament this weekend.  They are scheduled to face Oakland Community College, MaComb Community College, Sinclair Community College, Mott Community College, and St. Clair Community College.
