American Pianist Thomas Pandolfi to Perform at Genesee Center for the Arts

American pianist Thomas Pandolfi brings his innovative musical talent to Genesee Community College on Saturday, September 12 at 8:00 PM in the Stuart Steiner Theatre at the Batavia campus. Praised for his interesting and innovative programming, this brilliant virtuoso excels in a repertoire that stretches from Liszt and Chopin to Beethoven and even Gershwin. His ability to charm audiences is often seen and heard as he captures the essence of each musical composition he performs.

A graduate from The Juilliard School, Pandolfi has performed with orchestras and philharmonics throughout the world. His recordings include Thomas Pandolfi: Polish Masters, Into the Night with Gershwin, Thomas Pandolfi: Piano and two CDs featuring Pandolfi with the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, Liszt and Gershwin. Pandolfi’s young career has already included performances with European as well as American orchestras, including the American symphony orchestras of Mississippi, Cedar Rapids, Asheville, Princeton, and San Angelo. A standout among today's young pianists, Thomas Pandolfi plays with authority, clarity, and an unusual beauty.

Equally popular as a recitalist, Pandolfi has appeared in concert halls nationwide. After a recent recital, The Washington Post described him as "an artist who is master of both the grand gesture and the sensual line. Pandolfi possesses first-rate technical skills...etched with calm and crystal

"We’re delighted to have such a young professional perform at the Center for the Arts," Maryanne Arena, director of Genesee Center for the Arts and Genesee’s Theatre Department said. "Thomas Pandolfi is a world-renowned classical pianist, yet he brings young and innovative interpretations to traditional classical music. His performance is not to be missed!"

Pandolfi earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees as a scholarship student at Juilliard. For more information, or to sample his music, please visit Thomas' website at
