Prior to these experiences, she was corporate compliance director of the Catholic Family Center also in Rochester.

In the educational setting at Roberts Wesleyan College, she served as the director of Marketing Recruitment and has been an adjunct instructor and corporate trainer for more than five years. Active in academics state-wide, Mattioli has held leadership positions in New York State Transfer and Articulation Association, Rochester Area Colleges Consortium, Future Business Leaders of America NYS State Chapter, and St. Bonaventure University’s National Alumni Association Board. Beyond these professional associations, Ms. Mattioli is highly involved in the Rochester community and belongs to numerous professional organizations, including Association for Fundraising Professionals Genesee Valley Chapter, Rochester Rotary, Borniquen Dance Theatre, Rochester Business Alliance Women’s Council, Leadership Rochester, and Rochester Hearing and Speech Center.

“Monica's background in business, education, healthcare, not-for-profits as well as her corporate connections will provide a strong asset to Genesee Community College, and the new Lima Campus Center,” Jerry Kozlowski, dean of Genesee’s six Campus Centers and of The BEST Center. “The dynamic associations she’s made throughout her career with organizations in and around the Rochester area bode well for developing future educational and business opportunities in northern Livingston County.”

The construction of the new Lima Campus Center is nearing completion, and classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, September 21, 2009. The new center, located just north of Lima on Route 15A at Gale Road, will replace the campus center currently located in Lakeville. The new structure will be approximately 9,000 square feet and will contain a multi-disciplinary science lab. The center will also house technology-equipped classrooms, a student computer lab, and will be electronically linked to the College library and other College services. A wide range of courses will be offered at the Lima Center, and students will be able to obtain academic advising, financial aid assistance, and other services from the Lima Campus Center staff.
