Stone Row Brings Unique Blend of Traditional and Contemporary Celtic Music to Genesee

“It knocks the socks off of the normal Irish-Celtic stereotype,” Night-Life Magazine. On Saturday, March 28, Stone Row brings their unique blend of traditional folk and contemporary Celtic music to Genesee Community College, for one performance only.

Inspired by cultural diversity and a deep artistic passion, Stone Row weaves a rich tapestry of Celtic and World music by creating a seamless fusion of traditional and contemporary genres and presenting it in their own unique style. Fresh arrangements of old classics and captivating originals help make Stone Row a unique and exciting group with a loyal and ever-expanding following.

There is something for everyone at a Stone Row show: traditional Celtic songs and World music, elements of folk, country and hard rock, rich vocal harmonies and virtuosic instrumentals. Heartfelt performances are delivered with a fun-loving and outgoing stage presence that showcases the talent, humor and uncompromising musical integrity of these contemporary musicians.

Stone Row is comprised of local musicians from Western NY, with Kevin Auwarter at vocals and acoustic guitar, Glenn Bernardis at Bass and vocals, Nick Corallo at drums, percussion and vocals, Dave Schmeidler at lead guitar and vocals, and a new permanent addition to the band, Amanda Craver on fiddle. They are all united with a common passion for music and their musical versatility creates a unique sound and stage presence that captures the hearts of their audiences.

Stone Row creates their unique sound by featuring visionary musical interpretations, as well as original material. The music has a strong Celtic foundation, but also benefits from the complimentary influences of African, Middle-Eastern and tribal rhythms along with an infusion of modern attitude. Effortlessly shifting from a foot-stomping pub sing-along to a tender love ballad, or from a haunting ancient folk melody to a rousing battle song, this dynamic and musically sensitive group blends diverse musical elements to create a signature sound which reaches out to fans from every conceivable demographic.
