The Lady Cougars improve to 9-0 in the conference. The cougarss were lead by a strong sophmore class. We had Brittany McCray and Bianca Jones scoring and rebounding in double digits, along with Cynnetha Bellinger being a floor general setting the team up on offense and defense, Katelyn Thurber stepped in off the bench to give the Cougars a lift on offense and defense with her tenacious style of play. The freshman class stepped onto the floor and did a lot of good things as well, any first time watchers would not have known The freshman from sophmores in all three games. We had De'yara Burrell and Jamia Martin dropping three pointers like they were veterans, De'Yara also racked up in assist 2 of the 3 games, with both freshman finishing up with double digits in rebounds as well. We also had freshman Tierrea Saunders, and Shayla Fulton give us great minutes of the bench contributing on the offensive and defensive ends. Tierrea was like a coach on the floor setting her team up in offensive sets that just left the opponents wondering who she was. She has really come into her own these past 3 games. Shayla banged the boards and played really good defense down the stretch in all three games. Last but not least we had Jayvonna Kincannon our defensive stopper all season step up not only on defense but she also gave us well needed offense at some key times. The past 3 wins have been GREAT TEAM WINS WITH EVERYONE CONTRIBUTING. WE ARE NOW FIND THAT TEAM CHEMISTRY THAT WE WORKED TO GET ALL SEASON JUST AT THE RIGHT TIME. Cougars are back in action for a game against NEDA a Canadian National Team on Thursday at 5:00pm.
