Cougars Drop to Monroe

Genesee's Men's Basketball Team lost against Monroe Community College on Tuesday night with a score of 81-99.  The team had trouble finding a groove in the begining of the game which allowed Monroe to take a very early lead.  The Cougars fought back throughout and managed to bring the game within ten points with just ten minutes left.  Although the team took the loss very hard, they feel as if they have matured as a group and are looking towards their next opponent.

The team was led by sophomore Curtis Jackson and Freshman Greg Tucker.  Jackson had 24 points, 3 assists and 3 steals while Tucker added 17 points for the night.  The Cougars are to face Alfred State tonight at 8:00pm.
