WHO: Entrepreneurs of every type and business start-ups
BACKGROUND: A series of three Program Information Meetings providing a brief, one-hour introduction to the collaborative WIRED (Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development) grant offered by Genesee Community College have been scheduled to ensure that all entrepreneurs and business start-ups are aware about the free-tuition opportunity. The College is reimbursing entrepreneur students for the cost of tuition and books for two college-level entrepreneurship courses valued at approximately $500 per semester. This fall’s Emerging Entrepreneur Scholarship course is Business 111 / Exploring Business Opportunities and will be offered at three campus locations as indicated above. The follow-up entrepreneur course, Business 225 / Entrepreneurship will be offered in the spring semester with equal scholarship opportunities. Each course is worth 3 college credits.
