Softball Wins Two More

The women’s softball team knocked off Niagara in their doubleheader on Tuesday April 29, 2008. The Lady Cougars won their first game 5-1 and during the ninth inning of the second game, the team pulled out the 8-7 victory.

Pitcher Jenn Turner (Batavia, NY), who threw a five hitter, got the first win for the Lady Cougars. Elizabeth Rennard (Attica, NY) had a strong performance from the plate going 2 for 3.

Kim Proper (Letchworth, NY) led the team during the second game. Proper went 2 for 3 with a homerun and three RBIs.

The Lady Cougars earned their 13th victory in a row and are 18-4 in Region III and 21-10 overall. The team is also ranked No. 4 in this week’s Region III, DIII coaches’ poll.

The team travels to Monroe CC tomorrow for a doubleheader beginning at 3:00pm.
