Baseball Splits with Finger Lakes CC

On Tuesday April 15, 2008, the men’s baseball team split with Finger Lakes Community College winning the first game, 2-1 and dropping game two, 5-3.

In game one, Andre Kinder (Albion, NY) pitched a complete game for the Cougars allowing one run on four hits, while striking out eight batters. Kinder is now 3-0 with the win. Chris Page (Batavia, NY) led the team in hitting going 2-3 with a RBI and a run scored.

In game two, the team scored two runs in the first inning and then did not score again until the last inning losing 5-3. Nate Parrino (Brockport, NY) led the team in hitting going 2-3 with a double. Pitcher, Chris Page, took his first loss of the year bringing his record to 3-1.

The team is now 10-8 overall and 5-5 in Region III play. They travel to Niagara County Community College this Saturday to play at 1:00pm before returning home on Sunday to play a non region game against Brock University from Ontario, Canada at 1:00pm.
