Artwork by High School Students on Display at Genesee Community College's Medina Campus

Medina High School students will have their artwork on display at Genesee Community College’s Medina campus from March 6 to April 14. An artist’s reception will take place on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 from 3:00-6:00 PM.

“We are hoping to make this an annual event,” said Jim Simon, Associate Dean at the Medina Campus Center. “This is one of the reasons a community college exists—to serve as a gathering place for the local community. Genesee Community College is pleased to be able to host this event at our new Medina Campus Center.” Simon added that the Medina Campus Center is looking forward to working with all area high schools with these kinds of initiatives.

“I think this is a great way for our community to observe Arts Awareness Month in March,” said Richard Galante, Superintendent of Schools for Medina Central School District. “Thanks to Genesee Community College for showcasing our students’ efforts.”

The Medina Campus Center is located at 11470 Maple Ridge Road (31A) in Medina. For more information contact Charmayne Bloom, Medina Campus Center Associate, at 585-798-1688.
