James Culbertson leads Livingston's GCC Foundation Drive Scholarships serve students AND the community

James Culbertson of Dansville, Livingston County Clerk, is serving as Chair of the Livingston Division of the Genesee Community College Foundation’s annual campaign. Mr. Culbertson, a passionate advocate of the Livingston community, said at a recent volunteer meeting that the College is an important educational and economic asset in the county. The College provides access to higher educational opportunities at either one of the two campus centers located in Lakeville and Dansville in addition to the main campus in Batavia. Residents may seek training in careers and skills needed in the workforce and sometimes scholarships can help residents make that giant first step to enroll and begin classes. Scholarships are supported by caring individuals and community-minded businesses that are looking ahead to our well-being as a community.

Mr. Culbertson added, “Many students have the ambition, the desire and vision to be successful in their chosen careers; as citizens we can help. Working and giving together we can ‘make a world of difference’ in the future of our residents and ultimately our community.”
