Genesee Community College Offers SAT Preparation Course in Two Locations

Genesee Community College is offering a SAT Prep Course designed to help students do their best on the SAT exam. The course begins at the Medina Campus Center at 11470 Maple Ridge Road on March 8, 2008 from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and continues for six Saturdays, concluding on April 19, 2008. The same course will be offered at the Batavia campus at One College Road on Tuesdays from 6:00-9:00 PM beginning March 4, 2008 and running through April 22, 2008.

Students will know what to expect on test day by reviewing practice questions, taking practice tests, and learning test-taking strategies. Math preparation will include standard multiple-choice questions and quantitative comparison questions. Verbal preparation will include reading comprehension, sentence completion, vocabulary, and structure of the English language. To demonstrate practical test-taking strategies, the course will simulate the experience of the SAT through practice exams under testing conditions.

Nearly every college in America accepts the SAT as a part of its admissions process, which is why more than two million students take the SAT every year. The fee for this 18-hour course is $89. To register for either session of the SAT Prep course, call the BEST Center at Genesee Community College at 585-345-6868 or register online at www.bestcenter.org.
