'Experience Genesee' Community Residents Invited for February 28th Festival of Fun and Learning

Area residents of all ages will find something of interest at “Experience Genesee,” scheduled for February 28, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Genesee Community College’s Batavia Campus, Acting Assistant Dean of Students Clifford M. Scutella told the College’s Board of Trustees Monday evening. “Experience Genesee” is an evening of free learning, fun, and food at the College.

The event will feature workshops on topics of interest to people of all ages, an open gym, child care, a magic show for children, and refreshments. Faculty and staff members have volunteered to offer fun-filled workshops on timely topics including workshops on Fix-It Yourself computer repair; CSI – Fun Science; fashion; traveling smart; learning the internet; diplomacy at the dinner table; fairytale courtroom in the theatre, and other topics.

The College’s child care center will be open throughout the evening, and refreshments will be available in the cafeteria. All activities are free and open to all residents of the region.

The evening will be an opportunity for an entertaining evening and a chance for area residents to get to know Genesee Community college, according to Mr. Scutella.
