Genesee Community College Appoints New Vice President for Finance

Kevin P. Hamilton will join Genesee Community College as Vice President for Finance and Operations, President Stuart Steiner announced to the Board of Trustees Monday evening.

With more than 22 years of experience in educational finance, Mr. Hamilton is expected to bring a wealth of knowledge to Genesee Community College. Currently, he serves as Director of Finance and Operations at Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District in Honeoye Falls, New York, a position he has held since 1996. Prior to his tenure with the Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District, Mr. Hamilton was the Business Manager with the Albion School District from 1991-1996, and he served in the same capacity for Oakfield-Alabama School District from 1985-1991.

Mr. Hamilton is working on his doctorate in Instructional Technology and Distance Education at Nova Southeastern University with anticipated completion next year. He received his Master of Science and Certificate of Advance Study (CAS) in Educational Administration from SUNY Brockport in 1999, and his Bachelor of Science with a degree in Accounting and Law from Clarkson University in 1985.

Mr. Hamilton resides in Kent, NY, and will begin his duties at Genesee Community College on January 15, 2008.
