Women's Volleyball Heads to Districts

The Lady Cougars keep their winning tradition going as they head to Districts this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, November 3-4. The tournament format will be robin round where the top two teams from the first day’s play, advance to a three out of five game match on the second day to determine the champion, who will earn a bid to the Nationals (Scottsdale, AZ). The Division II, District L Lady Cougars are scheduled to play Harcum CC (PA) in the first match and CC of Rhode Island in the third match of Districts.

Ranked No. 20 in the nation and entering Districts with a record of 31-12, the Cougars look to continue their winning tradition with a few key players who are ranked in the top twenty-five of the nation for hitting efficiency and blocks/game. Ranked No.3 in hitting efficiency with 59.910% and 171 kills and No.6 in blocks per game with 1.611, Mandie Bartz looks to lead the Cougars with the help of Heather Liberman, who is No. 17 in hitting efficiency with 42.050% and 314 kills, and Teresa Conti, who is No. 20 in hitting efficiency with 40.920% and 293 kills and No.25 in blocks per game with 1.340.
