She has been published in newspapers, magazines, and books. Since 1994, Bonita has been working on a project called “Little Towns Are Not Forgotten,” which is an ongoing effort to document rural towns. She has completed five volumes to date and they can be seen throughout Western New York. In addition, Bonita supplied all the photographs for the guide book Somewhere to Go on Sunday, which introduces both residents and visitors to the natural beauty of Western New York and Southern Ontario.

Bonita is the founder of View Finders, a group of professional and amateur photographers with chapters in Western New York and Folsom, California.
