Premiering Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 7:30 PM at the Stuart Steiner Theatre, subsequent performances are scheduled for Friday, April 20 at 7:30 PM, Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 PM, and a Sunday, April 22 matinee at 2:00 PM.

Written by Ken Ludwig, MOON OVER BUFFALO is a slapstick comedy about a 1953 traveling repertory company of actors, led by the husband and wife team of George and Charlotte Hay, as they make one desperate, last-gasp attempt at stardom…in Buffalo, NY. When famed director-god Frank Capra decides to come see George and Charlotte for his next big movie, they must play their cards and their roles to perfection if they want to get the big break they’ve been waiting for. Nothing, however, goes according to the script in this hysterically funny, door-slamming farce when the Hays must deal with their returning daughter, her ex-boyfriend, an almost-deaf costume mistress, a local weatherman, a forgetful actress and a lovelorn lawyer.

With cast members that include Genesee students, faculty and members of the local community, MOON OVER BUFFALO stars Norm Gayford and Lucine Kauffman as George and Charlotte Hay, respectively. Rounding out the company of players are Rachel Buckenmeyer, Jessica Hishman, Robert Reiss, Ruth Strzelewicz, Gavin Eastlack and Michael David Porter. Produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., MOON OVER BUFFALO is being directed by Maryanne Arena, Fine and Performing Arts Director at the Genesee Center for the Arts. Scenic Design is by Kym Dick and Lighting Design by Yusuke Nemoto, with Vincent Elliott serving as Sound Designer and Technical Director on the production.

General admission ticket prices are $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for students, senior citizens and Genesee faculty, and $2.00 for Genesee students with a valid ID.
