Genesee Community College's Adjunct Faculty Fair Monday, April 2, 2007

With a variety of anticipated part-time (adjunct) faculty openings in many disciplines, for both day and evening courses in the upcoming academic year, Genesee Community College is pleased to announce a special Adjunct Faculty Fair on Monday, April 2, 2007, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Batavia Campus in the Forum. Anyone who wishes to explore potential adjunct teaching opportunities is encouraged to attend this free event. Advanced reservations are not required.

Qualified adjunct instructors may be hired at the Batavia campus and at the campus centers in Albion, Arcade, Dansville, Lakeville, Warsaw, and the new Medina Campus Center, as well as online courses. Full-time faculty and administrators will be on hand to answer your questions; it will be an excellent information gathering and networking opportunity.

“Last year’s Adjunct Faculty Fair was such a success that we are both excited and encouraged to organize a similar event this year,” Gina Regensburger, Director of Human Resources said. “There were dozens of excellent candidates coming from a wide array of professions who learned about teaching opportunities at Genesee. Particularly with the new campus center opening in Medina this fall, we are very eager to meet strong teaching candidates.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring their resume, transcripts if available, and any sample course materials that may have been used or developed in the past. Please note that all Genesee Community College faculty, (part-time or full-time), must hold a minimum of a Master’s degree and/or at least 18 graduate credit hours in the subject area to be taught.

Additionally, anyone who is unable to attend the April 2nd Adjunct Fair, should send a letter of interest, resume, and the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of three references to: Gina Regensburger, Director of Human Resources, Genesee Community College, One College Road, Batavia, NY14020 or visit our website at
