Annual Rock Fest 2006 Comes to Genesee Community College

An evening of great metal music, dancing, and door prizes awaits young audiences interested in Rock Fest 2006. The rock and roll event happens Friday, November 10, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at Genesee Community College in the William W. Stuart Forum at Genesee Community College’s Batavia Campus. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m.

Special guests include “All That Remains,” who played with Ozzfest this year, which is a nationally touring heavy metal, hard rock festival. Other featured guests for Genesee’s Rock Fest 2006 include “New Skin,” “The Con,” “A Thousand Shades of Cold,” and “T.B.A.”

“This line up of bands and musicians offers a variety of heavy metal and punk for an exhilarating night,” said Melody Nardone, General Manager of WGCC, Genesee Community College’s FM station located at 90.7 on the FM dial. “We are certain that this show will sell out and top everyone’s expectations, and more!”

The first 100 people through the door will receive a prize package, and other gifts and fun contests will be going on all night long. The evening event is presented by WGCC-FM and sponsored by the Genesee Community College’s Student Activities program. Proceeds from Rock Fest 2006 will be donated to a local charity. All tickets are general admission and cost $5.00.
