Language Lab at Genesee Community College Presents Annual Foreign Film Festival

Recently the Language Lab at Genesee Community College has been showcasing foreign films in both the Language Lab and Wolcott J. Humphrey Student Union. The showings of these films are free and open to the public and include English subtitles. Four movies are left to be shown over the duration of the fall semester and they are as follows:

  • Como Agua Para Chocolate (Like Water for Chocolate) – Shown in Spanish on Monday, October 23 at 3:00 PM in the Student Union.
  • Le Diner des Cons (The Dinner Game) – Shown in French on Thursday, October 26 at    12:30 PM in room A312.
  • La Mariee Etait en Noir (The Bride Wore Black) – Shown in French on Thursday, November 16 at 12:30 PM in room A312.
  • Abre los Ojos (Open Your Eyes) – Shown in Spanish on Monday, November 20 at 3:00 PM in the Student Union.

Through this effort the Genesee Community College Language Lab looks to further educate the community about cultures outside of the United States. Viewer discretion is advised with some of these films.
