Bye, a sophomore from Tillsonburg, Ontario, broke two records while attending GCC. The 6’1’’ pitcher holds the records for wins in a season (5 in both 2005 and 2006) and wins in a career (10). He helped Genesee to its first ever Western New York Athletic Conference Championship in the fall of 2005. Bye recently signed a letter of intent to continue his career at Barton College in North Carolina.
Darden, a sophomore from Boston, Massachusetts, was an honorable mention NJCAA All-American slection. She was a first team All-District, All-Region and All-Conference pick during her sophomore season. She was also named to the all-tournament teams in the GCC Tip-off and the Great North Tournaments. She leaves GCC as the all time assists leader in women’s basketball history. She dished out 317 assists in her two years for a 5.2 per game average. Darden also holds the single season assist mark (188) as well as the record for assists in a game (14) and she tied the record for steals in a game (12).
