Baseball Players Sign National Letters of Intent

Five members of the Genesee Community College baseball team inked their names on National Letters of Intent on Thursday. Steve Torrey, Justin Bye, Quinn Fuller, Josh Parkinson and Brad Kozak will be continuing their careers at four year NCAA or NAIA Division II institutions.

Pitchers Justin Bye and Quinn Fuller will remain teammates at Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina. Barton is a NCAA Division II school which belongs to the Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference (CVAC). Catcher Brad Kozak will also be attending a NCAA Division II school. Kozak is going to Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. Gannon is a part of both the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and the East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC). Steve Torrey, the centerfielder for GCC, is headed to Montreat College in Montreat, North Carolina. Montreat, a Division II NAIA school, is a member of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC). Josh Parkinson, a second baseman for the Cougars, is also headed to a NAIA school. He will be attending Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska.
