Softball Team Splits With NCCC

The Genesee Community College softball team split its doubleheader with Niagara County Community College on Tuesday. The Lady Cougars took game one, 5-4, but fell in the nightcap, 18-5.

The team closed out its regular season by getting swept by Tompkins-Cortland Community College on Sunday. Genesee lost the first game, 13-5, and the second game, 10-4. The Lady Cougars finished the year with an 11-14 overall record. The team set two new records for homeruns in a season with 16 and for fielding average with .908. Sabrina Herman also set a new standard for put outs with 133.
